Add a Little Spring

Add a Little Spring

This post is inspired by the YouTuber Karen Britchick. She recently posted a new video where she showed ways to incorporate a little spring into your winter wardrobe. It was so inspiring because as you all know by now I am not fond of winter at all. So finding ways to add a dose of Spring is right up my alley. Pairing spring like prints and splashes of color with other winter essentials were a part of her recommendations and I couldn’t agree more. I thought I was the only one ready for Spring, but I will be honest, I never thought about introducing Spring into that period between seasons.

Sometimes in fashion we are such sticklers about the seasons and what’s appropriate. But there is always that in between phase where we’re moving from one season to the next and we aren’t quite sure how to make that transition. Isn’t that such a metaphor for life. I know we’ve all had that awkward feeling of moving from one life season to another. And many of us are moving from winter seasons into our Spring aka new birth seasons. If you’re like me you know it’s coming, but what do you do and how do you prepare? I’m going to take Karen’s advice and just add a little color.

And how do you add a little color exactly? Welll, the Bible tells us to live out our faith as though the things that we desire are already a reality. This is the best way to overcome doubt when it tries to creep in. I’m not saying go out and live beyond your means but I do mean start affirming what you believe to be true about your future. Every time I see a piece of clothing that is beyond my budget I always tell myself don’t worry Cree it’s coming, we’re almost there. I use this train of thought when it comes to anything I aspire to, Cree we’re almost there. Does it mean I never get discouraged, no, but it does mean that I don’t linger in that state for long. I believe that getting to our wins has a lot to do with how we move through that in-between period. Trust me the in-between is the time period where it is so hard to not quit. And so many of us quit on the cusp of moving into our win, but please take Karen’s advice and add a little Spring to your winter, you are almost there.

With Love,

Cree
