Sooo, the 2020 hype has died down…and what does that mean for you? It really doesn’t take that long. We are barely out of January and for most of us it’s back to our routines and comfort zones. And yes I know you were expecting great things to happen basically like overnight. But I have a secret to tell you, those great things will not happen without you doing something.

God is gracious and good in all His infinite wisdom. But what He is not is a genie. God is not going to do for you what you can do for yourself. He will certainly guide your steps and provide you with wisdom if you ask, but make things appear out of thin air, no I don’t think that is His thing.  I say this all the time but you have to put in the work. Whether there is internal work to be done or external work. The work we do always has a purpose and it is never in vain. One step leads to the next and so on. And most of those steps are preparation. God will never put you out there without making sure you can handle the pressure. Caveat: If you listen to Him. If you jump out there on your own, you just might be on your own.

This post is to remind you to not get lost in the hype. Or get lost in your oversized expectations of what should have happened in this new year by now.  Girl it has only been two weeks, frustration is the enemy of your progress. Remember that baby steps lead to bigger steps. Process is a thing. Although it may seem as though these years go by in a blur, we have so much more time to go. We have to stay focused and stay the course. This year is not going to be different than any other year unless we do something different. I’ve learned that there is a rhythm to seasons of our lives. Determine what that rhythm is and flow in it. Trying to do something outside of that flow will more than likely lead to frustration.  Believe me I know from experience. This is a recent lesson learned. Receiving the vision, doesn’t mean it is going to happen tomorrow. It just means if we walk in obedience, we will certainly walk into its manifestation. I struggled so much because I was trying to move ahead of the process and the flow. The more grateful I am for my present moment and the more I flow in my spiritual rhythm the less I struggle. I’ve learned that if I work hard with my present portion it leads to the next level. My most important ask from God is always for wisdom. I trust God enough to know that He has got this. And if He has got me then He has certainly got you.

With Love,

Cree
