My name is Lucretia L.  Scruggs, my friends call me Cree. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida, a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a MBA from Georgia State University. I am an attorney by profession but refuse to be completely defined by it. There is so much more to me just like there is so much more to each of us.

As a young person from the inner city, being smart meant: (1) getting an education and (2) becoming a lawyer.  In my young mind this was the definite road to success. My mom was a hairstylist, which made beauty and fashion a definite part of my up-bringing but it was never stressed as a career path. Careers were supposed to be serious, like doctors and lawyers.  But the creativity I was exposed to never left me and at 33 years old I realized that I didn’t have to abandon my creativity in order to have the life I wanted.

God has always been my priority and the center of everything that I am. I know that without Him the woman I have become would not exist. My strength, determination and success at life are a direct result of my relationship with Him. I am not perfect but His grace has created a space for me to flourish and live in a way that exemplifies Him.
